I am a professional Tarot reader who has been reading the cards seriously for around 13 years.  My father first introduced me to the deck when I was in my early teens however it wasn't until I was in my early 20's that I became serious about working with the Tarot again.  I am also an astrologer and have been working with astrology for around 5 to 6 years.  In terms of prediction, I do tend to lean towards the Tarot for this and use astrology mainly for gaining psychological insight into our personalities and life's difficulties.  However astrology can also be used for predictive work with the correct techniques.

I am a member of the Federation of Australian Astrologers (FAA) and Sydney Astrological Research Society.  Although I am not currently a member of any Tarot institute however I do follow the code of ethics set out by the FAA in terms of providing readings to clients in my work with the Tarot.

The reason that I use the Tarot and have continued to do so for many years is simple - it's accurate.  I do readings for myself and readings for others on a regular basis and each time it will be right on the money, even if we don't think that it's got it right at the time.  I have predicted outcomes with the guidance of the Tarot accurately for such a long time that I forget to notice that this point often gets missed when we talk of the Tarot and the ability to predict the future.
